Alongside my private practice and lecturing, I am also a fully qualified (Certificate in Supervision) and experienced Supervisor. I am trained in the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-eyed Model of Supervision but also like to use developmental models which define progressive stages of supervisee development from novice expert. I tend to work with the supervisee to develop a contract that suits both of us, whilst developing a relationship which fosters congruence and respect.
I see Supervisees in my therapy room in my own home but am happy to travel if this suits both parties. I am BACP Accredited and see myself as a highly ethical and professional practitioner. I am an integrative counsellor so would prefer to work with counsellors who work in a similar way to me, using person centred therapy, TA or CBT. I offer challenge and support and believe in having an open and honest relationship with supervisees. I use humour and like to see people enjoy their work and have fun and celebrate their success as well as taking tough ethical decisions and maintaining professional boundaries.
I have worked in counselling education as a Lecturer for 9 years and have supported students through their clinical placement. I am happy to work with counselling students and offer a reduced fee.
